The nursing department at the Nazareth Hospital provides new mothers with education in postnatal care, nutrition and family  health matters.  On average, the labor and delivery ward sees, on average, 3,000 births each year.  Nurses have many opportunities to help young lives have a healthy start.

Nazareth Hospital,  E.M.M.S. was founded in 1861 by the Edinburgh Medical Missionary Society

 

Nazareth Hospital has the distinction of being Israel's oldest hospital (1861) as well as remaining a crucial part of the region's healthcare network.  The hospital is recognized by Israel's Ministry of Health, and serves as a District General Hospital for the Galilee Region.
