Nazareth Project Inc.
Nazareth Academic School of Nursing is planning to add additional space to its teaching facility to accommodate 130 more students in two degree programs. The expansion will include two new classrooms, four simulation rooms, additional office space and expanded space for student study and activities.
The $1.7 million project will receive 50% support from the Israeli Ministry of Health; however, Nazareth Academic School of Nursing must raise $850,000 to match the government pledge.
The School is highly rated and its graduates have excellent exam results. During the past two years, graduates have had a 100% success in passing the government nursing exam.
Based in northern Israel, the School is the preferred choice for Arab Israeli students of nursing. The School currently has a student body of 40% male/ 60% female students. Religious affiliation is 20% Christian, 78% Muslim and 2% Jewish.
Dr. Salam Hadid, Director, highlights a broad vision for the impact of the Nazareth Academic School of Nursing: “Alongside a focus on the academic and practical aspects of becoming a fully-qualified nurse, we also develop each student to embrace values of excellence, compassion and serving all, regardless of who they are.”
